All Played Out

This is another outfit I wore during my photo shoot with Ross Visuals last week.  I felt super comfortable in my army inspired outfit, which made it all the more fun.  We were also lucky to spot an army green Jeep to pose next to!

I added my floral headband to give this outfit a girly twist.  I'm not a very crafty person, but I actually made this headband myself, which shows how easy it is to do if you want to create a similar headband!  Of course, I had to add my favorite combat boots by Steve Madden to complete the look!

Lace, Dots, && Bows

I felt super girly strolling around town covered in lace, dots, and bows, and I absolutely loved it!  I'm crazy about my Rachel Leigh bow bracelet, and I knew I had to have it when I saw Blair Waldorf sporting it on Gossip Girl.  Speaking of Blair Waldorf, this outfit is so "Blair," isn't it?

I also decided to change up my hair for Spring/Summer!  I have been wanting to try ombre hair for a while and I finally went for it.  What do you guys think?

  These photos were taken by Scott from Ross Visuals.  I had a great time shooting with Scott, and the pictures turned out great!  Stay tuned for more pictures from our photo shoot later this week.

Lace Bralette && Damask Shorts

19 April 2013

I'm so happy to finally be off of my blogging hiatus, and I'm excited to start posting regularly again!  I finally got my Nikon D5100 as well as a new blog layout to start back fresh.  Hope you like it!  Of course, I still have a little more work to do, such as adding information to my About page and other navigation bar pages, but that will be done over the weekend in time for my next post!

These pictures were taken a few days ago by my friend Zoey with my new camera.  I had such a blast shooting with her!  The weather has been getting a lot warmer in Dallas, so I decided to wear my VS lace bralette as a crop top with my high-waisted damask shorts.  Of course, I had to add a blazer for a bit of cover up as well as fighting the cold indoor air conditioning!

I'm also excited to announce that I will be working with a few Dallas photographers for my photo shoots and featuring them on the blog.  Stay tuned!  In the meantime, I will be running my first 5K tomorrow... I'm very excited, but I hope I am in good enough shape to finish it without having to stop too often!

BA Star Eye Shadow Palette

02 April 2013

I recently received this lovely Natural Shadow Palette from BA Star and I've really enjoyed using it.  The palette contains 3 mineral shadows (Bronze, Cocoa, & Nude), 2 gel glitters (Gold & Crystal), and a double applicator.  It's long lasting and still looked fresh after a long night of dancing!

The BA Star Eye Shadow Palettes are already super affordable, but BA Star was kind enough to offer my readers a 50% off discount code! Simply go to this page, and use the discount code: BBSMOKY

PS. I'm still working on getting a new layout and revamping the way I run my blog, but I promise I will be back to posting regularly starting Monday!
