My Wish List

I've spent the entire week sick in bed, so I haven't gone out to take any outfit photos.  Instead, I decided to make a collage of everything that's on my current wish list!

1) Steve Madden Troopa Boots- I'm absolutely in love with these combat boots.  I currently have a similar pair in dark grey, and now I'm in search of brown ones.  This pair by Steve Madden is perfection.

2) Infinity Ring- I've been on the lookout for a cute infinity ring, but preferably one that's a bit more delicate than the one pictured above.

3) Nikon D5100- I'm still taking all my blog photos with a simple point & shoot camera.  I'm looking for a DSLR camera, like this Nikon D5100, to finally have some higher quality posts!

4) Cambridge Satchel- I've been wanting one of these bags for a while and of course I'll be getting it in red!

5) Topshop Tapestry Dress- I love the colors of this Topshop dress.  It's perfect for spring and can easily be dressed up or dressed down.

6) H&M Denim Jacket- I'm probably one of the few people in the world who does not own a regular denim jacket.  That will change soon!

7) Urbanears headphones- I've been looking for a good pair of headphones to jam out to some music with.  I just love the beautiful colors that the Urbanears headphones come in.  Must have!

8) Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C. Shoulder Bag- My current black shoulder bag broke when I was in NYC last week, so I'm in the market for a new one.  I've been wanting a Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C. bag for a very long time, so I've decided to get one in black to replace my other bag!

9) Butter London Nail Lacquer- Butter London is probably my favorite brand for nail polish, and soon I'll be stocking up in all sorts of bright colors for the spring!

Layers on Layers

Happy Monday!  I got back to Dallas yesterday, and I actually had a good first night back.  I went out for some tasty crawfish with my friend James, and it definitely helped ease the sadness of leaving NYC!  I always feel sad when I'm back home from any vacation.

I haven't had time since I've been back to take any new photos, so these outfit photos were actually taken last week.  I just love the layering of a button-down shirt, sweater, and a big statement necklace!  This look is clean-cut, classic, and great for any occasion!

I hope everyone had a wonderful week!  I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger this week, but I have been super busy having a blast in NYC!  I have missed New York so much and it's great to be back!

The Carolina Herrera show was at night, so I stopped by the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tent earlier in the day to take some photos before the sun went down!  I was wearing my red Steve Madden coat to bring out the red flowers in my dress.  As you can already tell by now, I love red!  I wore this outfit throughout the day because it's warm and cute, but still comfortable enough to walk around the whole city.  I ended up wearing something else to the actual show though.

The Carolina Herrera show was phenomenal!  I had such a blast!  There was a wonderful party before the show where I enjoyed champagne, macaroons, and other great hor d'oeuvres.  At the show, we got to see the lovely Spring 2013 line, where I fell in love with the dress pictured above.  It was such a great experience for my first Fashion Week ever!

I've been spending the rest of the week with my friend Krista and we've basically been exploring the city while devouring mouthwatering food!  From filet mignon to New York style pizza and sushi to sandwiches, we've enjoyed it all... and gained a few pounds.  But hey, it's worth it, right?  Speaking of food, we're about to go out to dinner for my last night here.  Unfortunately, I'll be back in Dallas tomorrow, but I'll definitely be back to NYC soon... permanently!

Airport Attire

 

So, this is the longest I haven't posted since I started this blog.  4 days!  It has just been super crazy around here!  Anyway, today is finally the day I'm flying to NYC to catch the end of Fashion Week and spend time with friends!  I had such a hard time packing because I don't really own very many warm winter clothes since our winters aren't very cold in Texas.  I'm not sure how I'm going to survive the cold NYC weather (apparently it's snowing again tomorrow) while trying to look cute, but I will surely try.  All I know is: layer, layer, layer!

As you can see above, I love the color red.  Hence my red car and my red suitcase... and hence the name of this blog!  Anyway, this is the outfit I'm wearing today at the airport.  I always try to dress warm and comfortable on flights for obvious reasons, and today is no exception!

My Little Boots

I'm so happy that it's finally Friday!  This weekend will be a very busy one with lots of things to do and lots of people to see, and I'm very excited for it!  Not to mention, I still have to go shopping and figure out what to wear for my first New York Fashion Week ever and pack for my upcoming trip in a few days!

I love this outfit because it's very girly and feminine but also comfy and cozy.  It's perfect for these sunny but slightly chilly days we've been having here lately!

Blue & Green Bag

I'm so excited that New York Fashion Week is starting tomorrow!  I'm especially excited this year because I will be in NYC for the last two days of it and will be watching the Carolina Herrera show!  However, I'll be watching all my other favorite designers online starting tomorrow.  Can't wait to be inspired!

I love this outfit because it's extremely casual yet chic.  My favorite part is the Pour La Victoire handbag.  I LOVE its colors and the fact that it's so easy to carry wherever I go!  The bag looks small, but it is surprisingly roomy.  I can fit my wallet, camera, and sunglasses in there!

Pop of Color

Hey all, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  It's warming up here in Dallas, so this is the outfit I chose for my weekend activities.  No jacket required!  I love how my neon yellow belt and my bright green Balenciaga bag add a POP of color this outfit.  I'm also a fan of these monochromatic floral jeans because they can be paired with absolutely anything!

Favorite Leather Jacket

I am absolutely in love with this leather jacket!  I saw it on a TV show over the summer and I knew I HAD to have it.  It took months for me to finally track it down, but it was totally worth the wait.  I love the two-color contrast as well as the draped collar.  Just looking at this jacket makes me so happy!

I added the last picture to show the lace shoulder detail that this top has, which I find to be adorable.  It's a little something extra for an otherwise plain black tee.

Anyways, I'm thrilled that it's finally the weekend.  It has been a busy week and I'm ready to let loose and party!  I hope everyone has a wonderful SUPERBOWL weekend!!
